Same Ownership, Additional Management, and a New Direction
As The Athlete Fund continues to evolve, we are making major changes to improve athlete sponsorships, financial support, and brand partnerships while ensuring long-term sustainability for everyone involved.
With additional management overseeing operations, we recognize the need to refine our structure to create a stronger, more organized vision for The Athlete Fund. These updates include tough but necessary decisions to enhance the experience for athletes and brands alike.
While some short-term adjustments are needed, these changes will allow us to offer more sponsorships, better rewards, and a sustainable framework that benefits all athletes in the long run.
📍 Why Are These Changes Happening?
The Athlete Fund has seen tremendous growth, but we have also faced challenges that required action to ensure the long-term success of the platform.
1️⃣ Sponsorship Commitments Not Being Completed
Brands expect high-quality promotion and engagement from athletes. Unfortunately, some sponsorships were not completed to a professional standard, with athletes accepting opportunities but failing to deliver the required work.
This negatively affects our reputation, brand relationships, and the overall credibility of The Athlete Fund. Moving forward, only committed and high-performing athletes will be selected for sponsorships.
2️⃣ Unstructured Sponsorship Models
Some past partnerships lacked clear goals and long-term value for both athletes and brands. By implementing a more structured model, we ensure:✔ Athletes receive fair compensation.✔ Brands get real marketing impact.✔ Sponsorships are properly planned and executed.
3️⃣ The Need for Long-Term Sustainability
Without a stronger financial structure, The Athlete Fund cannot continue to expand. These changes will ensure:✔ More athlete opportunities through strategic brand partnerships.✔ Sustainable sponsorship models that last.✔ Better-organized campaigns that generate measurable results.
These challenges have led us to refine our vision and direction to build a more effective, impactful platform for everyone involved.
🚨 What’s Changing?
To address these issues, we are implementing the following key improvements:
🔹 Stricter Athlete Selection & Higher Standards
✔ Athletes must meet engagement, content quality, and performance expectations to qualify for sponsorships.
✔ Sponsorships will be performance-based, ensuring brands receive measurable value.
✔ Selection will be more exclusive, focusing on athletes who actively contribute to campaigns and meet commitments.
🔹 More Structured & Sustainable Sponsorships
✔ Clear sponsorship packages that provide better financial opportunities for athletes.
✔ Long-term brand partnerships rather than short-term or one-off deals.
✔ Performance-based earning models, allowing athletes to increase rewards based on results.
🔹 Improved Brand Relations & Higher Accountability
✔ Higher expectations for campaign completion to maintain brand trust.
✔ Athletes who fail to meet obligations may lose future opportunities.
✔ More structured contracts to ensure fairness and accountability for both athletes and brands.
🚨 Tough Choices for a Sustainable Future
With new management supporting the evolution of The Athlete Fund, difficult but necessary decisions have been made to guarantee long-term success.
✔ Athletes will be held to higher standards to ensure sponsorships are executed professionally.
✔ Brands will receive structured, results-driven partnerships.
✔ The Athlete Fund will grow in a way that ensures sustainability and continued success.
We understand that change can be challenging, but these updates will result in more rewarding opportunities and a better experience for all involved.
🚨 Campaign Cancellations & Delays – A Necessary Step Forward
As part of this transition, we have reviewed all current sponsorships and made the difficult decision to cancel certain campaigns. While we know this is disappointing, it is a necessary step to ensure future opportunities meet our higher standards.
The Following Campaigns Have Been Impacted:
❌ Greaves – Cancelled: Alternative arrangements to be decided.
❌ Vitabiotics – Cancelled: Alternative arrangements to be decided.
⏳ Dropchef IE – Delayed: Expected launch in April.
⏳ KT Tape Delayed : Expected Launch April
Why Have Some Campaigns Been Cancelled?
Many past sponsorships were set up with unclear expectations, lower brand investment, and insufficient financial backing. Moving forward, all sponsorships must align with our new standards for execution, accountability, and measurable impact.
Additionally, athletes failing to complete commitments has negatively affected The Athlete Fund’s reputation and our ability to secure future deals. By raising expectations, we ensure that:
✔ Athletes are valued appropriately.
✔ Brands receive the marketing exposure they expect.
✔ The Athlete Fund maintains strong brand partnerships for long-term success.
⏳ Temporary Delays as We Restructure
Alongside cancellations, some campaigns will experience temporary delays as we finalize a more structured and sustainable sponsorship model. These adjustments require time to ensure sponsorships are well-organized, rewarding, and aligned with our new standards.
We ask for your patience during this transition. While this may cause short-term frustration, the long-term outcome will be stronger sponsorships, better rewards, and clearer opportunities for athletes.
🚀 What Happens Next?
Although some campaigns have been cancelled, this does not mean fewer opportunities. Instead, we are restructuring sponsorships to offer better alternatives that meet our new standards.
✔ New campaigns will be introduced with clearer structures and stronger brand backing.
✔ Athletes who were expecting to participate in a campaign will still be considered for upcoming sponsorships.
✔ Future sponsorships will be longer-term, providing athletes with ongoing financial support.
We understand that change is never easy, but these decisions are necessary to ensure The Athlete Fund remains sustainable and continues to grow. Our commitment is to create a stronger platform where athletes are properly valued, brands see real results, and sponsorships remain financially viable.
📢 What’s Next?
✔ A temporary slowdown to ensure better-organized sponsorships moving forward.
✔ Athletes will be fairly compensated with structured, performance-based earning models.
✔ The Athlete Fund will continue to grow sustainably and expand sponsorships.
📢 We appreciate your patience and trust as we take The Athlete Fund to the next level. These changes are being made to create a better future for all athletes and partners.
